The story about St. Peter’s Church

The first competition, the first postcard: So what’s on it? I thought for the first postcard I’m going to send out, it should be something that I did for the first time as well. You might know that I currently live in Munich. But this is not the city where I grew up. In 2014 I came to Munich for the first time, because of a job interview. And I’m glad I did, because I fell in love with this city.

Win a postcard, Giveaway, St. Peter's Church

On that first day, I visited the city center with the two famous church towers that you can see from far away due to their heights. I walked the long shopping street called Neuhauser Street with plenty of trendy shops. And I stood on the big central square Marienplatz to see and hear the clock chime of the town hall. But the best part of it was the climb to the top of the St. Peter’s church.

Just a few steps from the central square away, the St. Peter’s Church offers a breathtaking view over Munich from its small viewing platform. Without a lift, I climbed around 300 old and narrow steps just to see that spectacular view. It was an amazing experience and a very special moment for me, too. Because this was the time that I decided to stay in Munich.

I hope you enjoyed my private story. If you want to read more of these, stay tuned. There will come a lot more!
